The Energy Slump

The Energy Slump

Hi Mamas, happy Easter 🤍

I hope you had a beautiful long weekend with your families.

You probably noticed I didn’t get Saturday’s blog out—and I’m sorry for that. I had a bit of a sinus thing going on, which honestly wasn’t the best… but at the same time, I actually had a really lovely weekend.

We did an Easter egg hunt, baked together, had some slow family moments… and I even managed to get a little bit of writing in.

But if I’m being completely honest with you—it was slow.

My energy wasn’t fully there.

It felt like a bit of a slump.

And maybe you’re feeling that too right now?

There’s a reason for the slump

If your energy has felt off, heavy, or just not as productive as you’d like—there’s actually a little bit of a cosmic influence at play.

Right now, we’ve got a square between Jupiter in Cancer and the Sun in Aries.

If you’re not sure what that means, don’t worry—I’ll break it down simply.

This creates a bit of tension between:

Your emotional world (Cancer)

And your drive to take action and move forward (Aries)

So you might feel like:

“I need to get things done.”

…but also…

“I’m exhausted and just want to rest.”

That push and pull?

That’s where the energy slump comes from.

A little shift is coming…

Also, something really important to be aware of…

On Friday, Mars moves into Aries.

This is powerful energy.

This is movement.

This is action.

This is momentum starting to build again.

You may begin to feel a natural urge to:

• Get things done

• Take action

• Move forward

But here’s the key thing to understand 👇

This doesn’t mean your whole life suddenly becomes productive overnight.

This energy doesn’t activate everything…

It activates a specific area of your life.

So if you’re sitting there thinking:

“But I don’t feel that motivation…”

You might just be looking in the wrong place.

And this is why understanding your house placements is so important.

Quick Guide: Where You’ll Feel the Momentum

• 1st House – Forward movement, taking action, personal momentum

• 2nd House – Values, money, self-worth

• 3rd House – Communication, thoughts, expression

• 4th House – Home, family, foundations

• 5th House – Creativity, joy, self-expression

• 6th House – Daily routines, health, habits

• 7th House – Relationships, partnerships

• 8th House – Power, transformation, deep emotions

• 9th House – Knowledge, learning, expansion

• 10th House – Career, public image

• 11th House – Community, friendships, networks

• 12th House – Spirituality, rest, inner world

So instead of forcing yourself to do more…

Ask yourself:

Where is this energy trying to move through me right now?

This is your reminder, Mama

This happens to everyone.

We all have moments where our energy dips.

We all feel drained sometimes.

And it’s not your fault.

It’s not because you’re not doing enough.

It’s not because you’re falling behind.

It’s because of the expectations placed on us as mums.

We carry so much.

We hold so much.

We are constantly juggling.

And when we hit that burnout space—that “fizzle” of energy—it’s usually because we’ve been holding too much for too long.

The universe has a way of stepping in and saying:

“You need a break.”

And I see you 🤍

Because for some mums, this is harder.

Not everyone has support.

Not everyone has a partner.

Not everyone has family to lean on.

So when someone says “just rest”—it can feel unrealistic.

That’s why it’s so important to create small, intentional pockets of time for yourself.

Even if they’re only a few minutes.

Let’s talk about burnout a little deeper…

Burnout is usually triggered by the load you carry for others.

Not always—but for mums, this is often the case.

We give.

We hold.

We support.

We show up for everyone else.

And somewhere in that…

we forget ourselves.

This is where understanding your Venus sign becomes so powerful.

Because Venus shows you:

• What lights you up

• What brings you joy

• What you’re naturally drawn to

• What fills your cup

And more often than not…

That’s the exact thing that’s missing when you’re in burnout.

A simple shift you can start today

Instead of trying to overhaul everything…

Focus on one thing per day that lights you up.

One small moment.

One small choice.

Something that feels like you.

Because when you honour that…

Your energy begins to return.

You reconnect with yourself.

And alignment starts to feel more natural again.

3 Tips to Navigate the Energy Slump

Tip 1: The 10-Minute Reset

Set a timer. Pick one task. Create momentum.

Tip 2: Take a Breather

Step away. Breathe. Give yourself space.

Tip 3: Gratitude Shift

Write down 3 simple things you’re grateful for.

A little deeper reflection for you, Mama

How am I really feeling?

Where am I holding the most pressure?

What would help me feel supported right now?

How can I create 5 minutes for myself today?

How do I get my energy back when I have no one to help carry the load?

Write down 2–3 answers that feel realistic for you.

Pockets of Joy (Your Personal Reset)

These are the small moments that bring you back to yourself.

Start with your Sun sign if you don’t know your chart.

If you’re not sure what that looks like in real life, here are some simple ideas…

Pockets of Joy by Sign (Real-Life Mum Version)

Aries → quick wins, movement, action

Try: a 10-minute power clean, a fast walk, dancing in the kitchen

Taurus → slow, cosy, sensory moments

Try: a warm cuppa in silence, a blanket moment, sitting in the sun

Gemini → talking, thinking, connecting

Try: a voice note to a friend, podcast while cleaning, journaling

Cancer → nurturing, emotional safety

Try: cuddles, reading with your kids, quiet cosy time

Leo → expression, creativity, being seen

Try: filming content, getting dressed up, dancing with your kids

Virgo → order, health, structure

Try: tidying one space, writing a mini to-do list, prepping food

Libra → calm, beauty, balance

Try: music, fresh air, making your space feel nice

Scorpio → depth, emotional release

Try: journaling your thoughts, sitting alone, deep conversations

Sagittarius → freedom, adventure

Try: getting outside, going somewhere new, learning something

Capricorn → productivity, progress

Try: ticking off one task, organising something small

Aquarius → ideas, innovation

Try: brainstorming ideas, planning something new

Pisces → dreaming, creativity, softness

Try: music, daydreaming, long shower, creative outlet

And Mama—this matters for your child too

Understanding your child’s sign helps you nurture them in a way that strengthens who they are—not suppresses it.

Final reminder

Your to-do list will still be there tomorrow.

But your energy?

That needs your attention now.

So if today feels slow…

If today feels heavy…

Take that as your sign to pause.

Rest is not failure.

Rest is part of the process.

You’ve got this, Mama 🤍
