Taurus New Moon & The Super Bloom You’ve Needed

Taurus New Moon & The Super Bloom You’ve Needed
The Taurus New Moon on May 17th, 2026 invites us to reconnect with our values, intentions, self-worth, and the future we are slowly building through patience, devotion, and trust.
Mother’s Day was slow… but rewarding in a way you may not expect.
I see so many social media posts talking about how mums want rest, sleep-ins, silence, dad taking the kids for the day, or simply being left alone. And while that may absolutely be true for some mothers, for me personally… Mother’s Day has never been about silence.
It’s about togetherness.
It’s about being surrounded by my children.
The chaos.
The laughter.
The noise.
The constant “mum” every five seconds.
Honestly? That’s what makes me feel alive.
A walk on the beach and a little adventure with all five of my babies in tow — that’s the dream for me. Because the truth is, I rarely get all five of them together anymore.
One flew the coop nearly two years ago.
One spends most of his time in his room on the Xbox.
And my youngest boy is now a social butterfly whose friends apparently offer much better company than me these days.
The girls… they’re the ones I bond with most lately. They’re always by my side.
So the reset I received on Sunday wasn’t found in alone time.
It was found in togetherness.
In love.
In presence.
In moments that remind me that even as life changes, the connection remains.
And this is exactly where the Taurus New Moon comes into play.
Because Taurus reconnects us with what we truly value.
Taurus is deeply devoted to what it loves, and for me, that’s the quality time I get with my family. Because what is life without the people we hold closest beside us?
To me, that’s the real abundance.

Taurus New Moon
17 May 2026 — 6:01 AM — 25° Taurus
Taurus Energy
The slow and patient one.
When I think of Taurus energy, I think of the story of The Tortoise and the Hare.
The tortoise moved slowly, but with determination, consistency, and quiet confidence. Meanwhile, the hare allowed ego and distraction to take over.
The tortoise understood his strength.
And that is Taurus.
Practical.
Patient.
Determined.
Stable.
Taurus isn’t interested in rushing to the finish line. It’s here for the long haul.
This energy builds slowly, intentionally, and sustainably. It wants to create something lasting — something rooted in security, comfort, and meaning.
But here’s the beautiful thing about Taurus…
While it works hard toward the future, it doesn’t forget to live in the present.
If there are flowers on the side of the road, Taurus will stop to smell them.
If there’s beauty to experience, pleasure to indulge in, or a meaningful memory to create, Taurus will make space for it.
Because Taurus understands that success means nothing if you sacrifice yourself to get there.

The 25° Degree
This is an Aries degree.
So while Taurus normally prefers to move slowly and cautiously, this Aries influence adds a spark of confidence, courage, and initiation to the energy.
This New Moon isn’t only asking you to build something stable…
it’s asking you to believe you’re worthy of building it.
Because sometimes Taurus energy can doubt itself.
It can hesitate.
It can wait too long before claiming what it truly deserves.
But this New Moon is awakening confidence that may have been lying dormant within you.
It’s asking you to take the lead.
To trust yourself.
To move toward what you value most with both intention and courage.

Mercury In The Mix
There’s another important layer to this New Moon that I almost forgot to mention — and honestly, it may be one of the most important pieces of all.
Mercury.
While Mercury isn’t sitting at the exact same degree as the New Moon, it’s still close enough to create a strong energetic conversation within this Taurus stellium.
And this matters because Mercury rules:
- the mind
- communication
- expression
- storytelling
- the voice
So this New Moon isn’t only asking:
“What do you value?”
It’s also asking:
“How are you expressing it?”
Because we are rewriting the narrative here.
For some, this may look like finally speaking up.
For others, it may be creating something meaningful.
And for some, it may simply be allowing themselves to think differently about who they are becoming.
But Taurus communication is interesting because it isn’t always loud or direct.
Sometimes communication is found in:
- touch
- music
- eye contact
- tone
- movement
- art
- the feeling underneath the words
Taurus is sensual.
It wants us to slow down enough to truly experience what we are creating instead of rushing through it.
And maybe that’s part of the lesson here too.
Not forcing the future…
but feeling our way into it.

Intentions
New Moons are a time to plant seeds for the next six months.
And when you look at the themes of Taurus — security, pleasure, stability, finances, comfort, self-worth — ask yourself:
What is calling you forward?
What keeps whispering:
“Pick me.”
“Focus on me.”
“Build me.”
Because deep down…
you already know what matters most to you.
---
My Example
This Taurus New Moon is landing in my 10th house — the house of ambition, purpose, and legacy.
And with that 25° Aries influence, there’s an added layer of desire, courage, and initiation surrounding my future.
But there’s another important layer here too:
this New Moon is activating my natal Jupiter, which brings expansion into the story.
So for me, this feels like determination rising around my ambitions.
What may have once felt dormant…
or like a distant dream…
is now asking to be brought to life.
There’s a spark returning.
A deeper understanding of what I truly value.
A desire to create long-term security.
And wisdom emerging from lessons I’ve already survived.
This feels like growth after overcoming.

Create A Vision For What You’re Building
This New Moon energy feels incredibly supportive for creating a vision board or self-care vision map around the life you are wanting to build over the next six months.
Because Taurus energy likes to make things tangible.
It wants you to see it.
Touch it.
Feel it.
Connect with it.
And with Mercury involved, there’s power in expressing your vision outwardly instead of keeping it trapped inside your mind.
There is no right or wrong way to create it.
You can:
- design something digitally
- cut out pictures or words and create a collage
- draw it
- write intentions
- create mood boards
- use colours, textures, quotes, symbols, music — anything that helps the vision feel alive to you
This isn’t about perfection.
It’s about connection.
About creating something that reminds you what you’re moving toward when life feels noisy or uncertain.
Because sometimes seeing the vision helps us believe in it a little more deeply.
---
It is up to you to build the future you deserve.
And no one will ever fully understand your vision more than you do.
So secure your place.
Trust your timing.
And move forward with ease.

Journal Prompts
Your Intentions
Reflect Back
What have the last six months looked like for you?
Look Forward
What do you want the next six months to become?
And get your kids involved too.
Just because they may not always say things out loud doesn’t mean they don’t have dreams, intentions, or desires quietly waiting to bloom.
---
The super bloom is an inward unfolding waiting to surface and take hold.
Because the seeds you are planting right now through your intentions are not just wishful thinking.
What has truly been growing beneath the surface is no longer only a vision or a passing thought — it is becoming a tangible root system, one strong enough to blossom into reality.
Taurus reminds us that growth does not happen overnight.
It happens slowly, steadily, beneath the soil long before the flower is ever seen.
So I leave you with this:
What flower are you ready to become?
