Gemini New Moon + The Butterfly Effect

Gemini New Moon + The Butterfly Effect
15 June 2026 | Monday | 12:55 PM | 24° Gemini
Hey Mama,
So remember last week I gave you a little teaser about my daughter's Book Week costume? Well, if you didn't catch my reel, she went as Taylor Swift from the Fearless era. She absolutely loved it, and she looked soooo cute.
For me, over the weekend I hit 28,000 words in my manuscript and created one of my favourite scenes so far. Although, if I'm being honest, I have quite a few favourite scenes now. You could say I'm a little biased.
I also had a meeting with my son's deputy principal. We walked into the meeting and she carried a very direct, authoritative energy. Then she asked for my input.
That was my moment to advocate for my son.
I found myself translating what I know through astrology into everyday language. I spoke about how he learns, processes information, responds to authority, and interacts with his environment. I moulded astrology terms into something she could understand.
The entire conversation shifted.
She began speaking to him differently. Not as an authority figure speaking down to a child, but as one human speaking to another.
In that moment, I made a conscious choice to communicate in a way someone in her position could understand. Because let's be honest, if I had walked in saying, "He's a Gemini Sun with an Aquarius Rising," she probably would have thought I was a little crazy.
And this leads me perfectly into today's topic.
Gemini is often referred to as the child of the zodiac.
It represents our early learning environment, our social development, communication, curiosity, and the way our minds process information.
I saw it through my daughter as she navigated Year 1 and found her place socially. She felt safe expressing herself through a costume her own imagination helped create.

I saw it through my writing, expressing the stories that live inside my own mind and finally sharing them with the world.
And I saw it through my son, finding the words to help others understand how his mind works.
Different stories.
The same Gemini lesson.
Expression.
The Gemini New Moon
A New Moon is a beginning.
A seed planted in the dark.
This Gemini New Moon invites you into the landscape of your own mind.
Your thoughts.
Your ideas.
Your voice.
Your curiosity.
The conversations you've been wanting to have.
The stories you've been wanting to tell.
Gemini doesn't want your ideas to stay trapped inside your head. It wants them shared, integrated, spoken, adapted, and explored.
This is the energy of learning, teaching, communicating, writing, socialising, and connecting.
Your mind is creating something.
The question is:
Are you willing to let it be seen?
Intention Setting
This New Moon is particularly supportive for intentions around:
- Communication
- Education
- Learning
- Writing
- Social connections
- Speaking your truth
- Sharing your ideas
But there is an even deeper clue hidden within this New Moon.
Think back to the Gemini Full Moon six months ago.
What themes were reaching completion?
What conversations were ending?
What beliefs were you releasing?
The New Moon now offers a fresh chapter.
A chance to begin again.
The House Activation
Look to the house where 24° Gemini falls in your chart.

The 24°
This is a later Pisces degree, carrying an energy of surrender.
Not surrendering your voice.
Surrendering the fear that keeps your voice hidden.
Gemini naturally adapts to its environment. It learns how to fit in, how to communicate, and how to navigate different social spaces.
But somewhere along the way, many of us learn that keeping quiet feels safer.
That blending in feels safer.
That hiding parts of ourselves feels safer.
This New Moon asks you to question that belief.
What if your freedom exists on the other side of expression?
What if your voice is the very thing you've been trying to protect?
A Note About Children
Think back to your own childhood.
Did you ever stop yourself from speaking because you feared judgement?
Did you ever feel embarrassed to ask questions?
Did you ever feel like your thoughts weren't important?
Be honest.
I know I did.
This New Moon reminds us that children learn through expression.
Their minds are constantly exploring, questioning, observing, and making sense of their world.
Be mindful of the language you use.
Never tell a child to stop talking simply because they're excited.
Never attach shame to learning.
Never make curiosity feel like a burden.
Encourage questions.
Encourage expression.
Encourage wonder.
Because that is how little minds learn to navigate big worlds.
Mama, this is for you too.
Because just like our children, we can doubt our own words.
We can use negative self-talk against ourselves.
We can allow other people's opinions, criticism, and narratives to make us pause, question ourselves, or stay silent.
But who is that really affecting in the end?
You.
Because while you're stopping and second-guessing yourself, they're carrying on with their day.
Can I share a little secret with you?
That hurtful remark often says more about them than it does about you.
Yes, I said it.
It isn't yours to carry.
More often than not, it reflects something within them. A fear, a wound, an insecurity, or a truth they haven't yet found the courage to express themselves.
And while not every criticism should be ignored, not every opinion deserves a seat at your table.
This Gemini New Moon is asking you to reclaim your voice.
To trust your thoughts.
To share your ideas.
To stop editing yourself to make others comfortable.
Because your voice wasn't given to you so it could remain hidden.
It was given to you so it could be heard.
The Butterfly Effect
This is the butterfly effect.
A child expressing themselves through a costume.
A mother speaking up in a school meeting.
A writer putting words onto a page.
A conversation that changes how someone is seen and understood.
Small actions.
Small words.
Small moments.
Yet each one creates a ripple that reaches further than we ever realise.
Looking back on the week, I can already see this New Moon showing up in my own life.
My daughter found the confidence to express herself.
I found the courage to advocate for my son in a way that could be heard.
And I continued sharing the story that has been living inside my mind for so long.
Different moments.
Different environments.
The same lesson.
Expression creates movement.
This Gemini New Moon reminds us that our voice carries power. Not because we can control the outcome, but because we never truly know what one conversation, one idea, one question, or one act of expression may set into motion.
Perhaps the very thing you've been keeping to yourself is the thing that creates the biggest ripple.
Perhaps your voice is the butterfly.
And perhaps this New Moon is the wind beneath its wings.
